Engineering Senior
Senior Mobile Engineer
Own Flutter product surfaces people open every day — tracking, offline storage, sync, and the interactions that make Ohga feel fast and trustworthy.
About the role
You will be a primary owner of the mobile client experience: architecture decisions, performance, offline-first reliability, and shipping quality on iOS and Android. You work directly with design and intelligence teams so features land as coherent product, not disconnected screens.
What you will do
- Design and implement core Flutter features for nutrition, training, focus, sleep, and goals tracking.
- Own offline-first data paths: local encrypted storage, conflict-aware sync, and resilient network boundaries.
- Raise the bar on performance, accessibility, and polish — scroll, animation, cold start, and battery.
- Partner with Product Design on interaction quality and with AI/engineering on safe agent actions in-app.
- Write clear technical notes, review PRs with high standards, and help shape mobile engineering culture.
- Instrument thoughtfully so we learn from real usage without turning health data into surveillance.
What you bring
- 5+ years building production mobile apps; strong Flutter/Dart experience preferred (native iOS/Android with willingness to go deep on Flutter is acceptable for exceptional candidates).
- Proven offline-first or complex local state work (SQLite or equivalent), not only CRUD CRUD against a single API.
- High bar for UI craft and edge cases: empty states, permissions, background tasks, store releases.
- Comfortable owning features end-to-end with minimal hand-holding.
- Excellent written communication in English.
Nice to have
- HealthKit / Health Connect or wearable integrations.
- Experience with encrypted storage, secure enclaves, or privacy-sensitive apps.
- Prior work on habit, fitness, or consumer health products.
- Interest in AI-assisted product flows and safety UX.
