Hot Cold Contrast Therapy
Alternating heat and cold rounds that stimulate circulation; useful for subjective recovery when sleep and nutrition are already solid.
Hot cold contrast therapy alternates brief heat and cold exposures—often sauna plus cold plunge or hot shower plus cold shower—to stimulate circulation and subjective recovery. Typical cycles run two to four rounds of two to three minutes heat and thirty to ninety seconds cold.
It is not mandatory for results; sleep and nutrition still dominate.
Common questions
-
How many contrast rounds should you do?
Two to four complete heat-cold cycles are common. More is not always better—stop if cold exposure causes prolonged shivering or numbness.
