Mobility Screening
Mobility screening tests joint range and control before pain or missed reps appear. It guides warm-ups, prehab, and load decisions across training blocks.
Mobility screening is a short battery of movement tests—ankle dorsiflexion, hip rotation, thoracic extension—that flags restrictions before they become pain or compensation patterns. It is not a flexibility contest; pass/fail means whether you can own positions under load today.
Re-screen after deloads, travel, or desk-heavy weeks.
Common questions
-
How often should you run mobility screening?
Every four to eight weeks, after illness or long travel, or when a lift pattern changes. Daily warm-ups address what screens flag—not full re-testing every session.
-
Is mobility screening the same as a physio eval?
Screens are quick self-checks; physio evaluates pain, diagnosis, and rehab plans. Use screening for prevention; see a clinician when pain persists.
