Passive Stretch Recovery Day
Passive stretch recovery day uses gentle holds and rolling on easy days—flexibility without adding hard training stress when readiness is moderate.
Passive stretch recovery day dedicates fifteen to twenty-five easy minutes to holds, foam rolling, and breathing when training load is low or readiness is yellow—muscles stay lengthened without adding glycolytic stress. Keep intensity submaximal; this is not yoga flow at threshold heart rate.
Pair with walking or easy cycling if you want circulation without another hard session. Avoid deep passive work on acute strains until cleared.
