Day one is about baseline, not perfection. Log what you already eat, note your typical wake time, and record any movement you did naturally—walking counts. Resist overhauling diet and training on the same day you install an app; you are collecting signal so later changes have something to compare against.
Days two through five, add one lever at a time. Pick a protein target or a step goal, not both plus a new gym program. Keep meals honest even when they are imperfect. If you train, log duration and rough intensity rather than chasing optimal programming. For sleep, pick a consistent wake time and protect it, even if bedtime still drifts.
Days six and seven, review the week. Look for patterns—skipping lunch and overeating at dinner, sedentary afternoons, short sleep before early meetings—not individual failures. Adjust one habit for week two: earlier meal prep, a ten-minute walk after lunch, or a protein number you hit four days out of seven. The first week should end with clarity about what already works and one small change you will repeat.
