Flax and chia plant omega-3 deliver ALA plus fiber—grind flax fresh for absorption, soak chia if texture bothers you, and store both airtight to limit oxidation. One to two tablespoons daily in oats, yogurt, or smoothies is a common food-first increment without fish.
They do not replace EPA and DHA for everyone but improve plant omega balance when omega-6 oils are high. Drink water with chia to avoid clumping discomfort.
