Personalized Step Target
A personalized step target raises your own recent average by a reachable margin—not a generic 10,000—revisited after life changes.
A personalized step target adds a realistic bump—often one thousand to three thousand steps—to your own four-week average instead of copying a billboard number. Sedentary baselines may gain more from consistency than from jumping straight to five-figure goals.
Revisit the target after travel, injury, or a job change so guilt does not replace data. Pair the number with at least two brisk walks per week when heart health is the aim.
Common questions
-
How much should you increase steps at once?
Ten to twenty percent above your recent average for two to four weeks is a common starter. If you miss the goal three weeks in a row, lower it and stabilize before climbing again.
