Long slow distance is extended easy aerobic training that builds endurance base—most effort stays conversational, not race pace.

Long slow distance (LSD) is extended aerobic work at easy conversational pace—building mitochondrial density, tendon resilience, and mental durability for endurance events. Duration matters more than pace ego; most minutes should stay in zone 2.

Fuel and hydrate on runs over ninety minutes.
